Leavenworth Ziplines is a part of Mountain Springs Lodge which is a beautiful retreat and conference center that is located in Plain, Washington, just a 20 minute drive from the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. Mountain Springs Lodge has a rich history dating back to 1895 when the owner’s great-grandfather, W.W. Burgess, bought the Beaver Valley from its first homesteader, John Mathews, who was a trapper who wanted out of his homesteader obligations. Burgess and his wife Elizabeth, spent the rest of their lives in the valley, cutting trees, clearing brush, etc. Their first home still stands and is owned by the family that owns Mountain Springs Lodge. The Burgess family also built a sawmill that provided lumber for most of the early houses and barns.
